How long does a solar installation take?

The installation itself usually takes 1 to 3 days, depending on the size of the system. From initial consultation to full activation (including permitting, approvals, and utility interconnection), the full process typically takes 4 to 8 weeks.

What happens on cloudy or snowy days?

Solar panels still produce electricity on cloudy days — just at reduced efficiency. In snowy conditions, panels are designed to shed snow quickly, especially when mounted at an angle. Any temporary dip in production is typically offset by overproduction during sunnier months, thanks to net metering.

Do solar panels work in Upstate New York?
